Counselling Psychotherapy
Hove & Online
About Me
I’m an Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, childlessness not-by-choice, and major life transitions. I also support people navigating a recent adult diagnosis of ADHD and adjusting to the changes and self-understanding that can come with it.
In the past, I’ve worked with the Samaritans, as well as Release — a charity supporting women who are experiencing trauma, navigating changes through the menopause, and working through the impact of becoming a mum. These experiences continue to shape my practice, giving me a deep appreciation of the many different life transitions and challenges people face.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is rooted in honesty, empathy, and genuine human connection. I help clients gently explore what feels stuck or painful, understand the deeper patterns beneath the surface, and reconnect with the version of themselves that feels most authentic.
I believe resilience and healing come from a mixture of compassion and acceptance. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings, process difficult experiences, and discover what you need to feel at home in your own skin.

How I Work in Practice
I work as an equal with my clients, drawing on humanistic theory to support our relationship rather than to diagnose or label. My commitment is to create a safe environment where you can bring your beliefs, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or shame.
At times, I’ll ask questions to help deepen understanding, but never to tell you what to do. My approach is authentic and collaborative: not long silences or clinical detachment, but a warm, engaged presence where you remain at the centre.
I believe many struggles — from addictions to feelings of “stuckness” — develop as ways of coping with emptiness, insecurity or unmet needs. Together, we can explore whether these patterns still serve you, and what it might take to let them go.
Experience
Since completing my Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Humanistic Counselling & Psychotherapy, I’ve worked in private practice as well as with a trauma-informed charity in Sussex, supporting adult survivors of sexual abuse.
I also work as a Relationship Therapist at Relationship Sussex (formerly Relate), helping couples navigate challenges and build more connected, understanding relationships.
